Admission Process
KCET route (Karnataka students): Qualify KCET conducted by KEA. Participate in KEA's online Option Entry process after results. VVIET appears in KEA's Mysuru district college list. Karnataka domicile, KCET rank and Class 12 PCM percentage determine seat allotment. For Mysuru district students, choosing a local college like VVIET reduces accommodation costs significantly.
COMEDK route: Appear for COMEDK UGET and register at the COMEDK portal after results. VVIET participates in COMEDK's centralised counselling for Karnataka private engineering colleges.
Mysuru's Engineering Ecosystem — Location Advantage
Mysuru is Karnataka's second largest city and home to a diverse industrial and IT base. The Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway (opened 2023) has dramatically reduced travel time between Mysuru and Bangalore to under 90 minutes, making Mysuru-based engineering graduates easily accessible to Bangalore employers for both placements and post-graduation employment.
Key Mysuru industries relevant to VVIET students: Infosys Mysuru campus (one of the largest corporate training campuses globally), BEML (Bharat Earth Movers Limited) for Mechanical Engineering opportunities, Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited, JSW group facilities, and a growing IT SEZ in Mysuru. Mysuru is also an emerging centre for garments and food processing industries relevant to Industrial Engineering graduates.
