Haveri town sits on NH-48 between Hubballi (60 km) and Davangere (80 km), providing Diploma graduates access to employment zones in both directions. The district also has significant wind energy infrastructure in Ranebennur and Shiggaon taluks — a practical sector for Electrical Engineering diploma holders. Government Polytechnic Haveri serves students from Haveri, Ranebennur, Shiggaon, Hirekerur, Savanur, Hanagal, and Byadagi taluks. Diploma holders can pursue lateral entry into BE at VTU-affiliated colleges in Hubballi-Dharwad or Davangere.
