Sir M. Visvesvaraya — Karnataka's Engineering Patron

Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya (1861–1962) is India's most celebrated engineer — the man who designed the Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS) dam, invented the automatic sluice gate, served as Dewan of Mysore, built Bangalore's planned infrastructure and founded industrial institutions including MICO (now Bosch India) and BEML. His birthday September 15 is observed as Engineers' Day in India. VTU itself is named after him. For an architecture school to carry Sir MV's name is both an aspiration and a responsibility to maintain the quality of built environment education that Karnataka's most distinguished engineer would have expected.

NATA Admission for Sir MVSA

NATA tests drawing ability, spatial reasoning and mathematics, conducted by the Council of Architecture. Students targeting Sir MVSA should appear for NATA and register through Karnataka's architecture quota counselling at KEA. Confirmed fee structure and programme details are available at the Sir MVSA admissions office directly. Architecture aspirants should verify current NATA cutoffs for Sir MVSA alongside other Bangalore architecture schools when making Option Entry selections.
