Hassan — Strategic Central Karnataka Location
Hassan is located at the junction of three major highways: NH-75 (Bangalore-Mangaluru), NH-273 (Hassan-Mysuru) and the Bangalore-Mangaluru-Hassan triangle. The Bangalore-Mangaluru rail route also passes through Hassan, making it one of Karnataka's most strategically located district headquarters for transport and logistics.
Hassan Aerospace Park — a KIADB industrial area developed specifically for aerospace and defence component manufacturing — is located near Hassan and is expected to be a major Mechanical Engineering employer over the next decade as global aerospace companies establish Indian manufacturing facilities. This proximity to an emerging aerospace manufacturing cluster gives RIT Hassan Mechanical Engineering students a significant career opportunity that most other Karnataka district engineering colleges don't have.
