Proudhadevaraya Institute of Technology (PDIT) is a private engineering college located in Hosapete (Hospet), Vijayanagara district, Karnataka. Approved by AICTE and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), PDIT is named after Proudhadevaraya, one of the greatest emperors of the Vijayanagara Empire, reflecting the region's deep historical connection to India's medieval golden age. KCET: Qualify KCET and participate in KEA's counselling. PDIT is listed under Vijayanagara district. For students from Hosapete, Sandur and Kampli, PDIT is the nearest private engineering option alongside BITM Ballari.
COMEDK: COMEDK qualifiers apply through COMEDK's centralised process. Kalyana Karnataka reservation under Article 371(J) applies for Vijayanagara district students.
