About Shree Devi Institute of Technology
Shree Devi Institute of Technology (SDIT) is a private engineering college located in Kenjar, Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka. Approved by AICTE and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), SDIT is managed by the Shree Devi Educational Trust, which also operates Shree Devi College of Nursing and other institutions in the Mangaluru educational cluster. With an intake of 300 students, SDIT offers BTech in core engineering disciplines and is a participant in both KCET and COMEDK counselling.
SDIT's Kenjar location in the outskirts of Mangaluru city provides a campus environment while maintaining reasonable connectivity to Mangaluru's city centre and industry.

Admission Process
KCET: Qualify KCET and choose SDIT through KEA's Option Entry under Dakshina Kannada district. Students from Mangaluru, Bantwal, Puttur and Udupi considering local coastal Karnataka engineering colleges evaluate SDIT alongside SJEC, Canara Engineering College and other Mangaluru cluster institutions.
COMEDK: COMEDK UGET qualifiers apply through COMEDK's centralised process for Karnataka private engineering colleges.
Shree Devi Group — Multi-Institution Campus
The Shree Devi group manages multiple healthcare and education institutions in Mangaluru. The multi-institutional environment creates an interdisciplinary campus culture where engineering students interact with nursing and health sciences students, providing exposure to healthcare technology — an increasingly relevant intersection for biomedical engineering, health informatics and medical device engineering roles that are growing in Mangaluru's healthcare sector.
Mangaluru Engineering Ecosystem
SDIT is part of Mangaluru's strong private engineering college ecosystem anchored by NITK Surathkal. The coastal Karnataka cluster's industry connections — MRPL refinery, New Mangalore Port, MESCOM and the Gulf construction employment channel for Civil and Mechanical graduates — are shared across all Mangaluru cluster colleges including SDIT. Dakshina Kannada's strong emphasis on education and the active NRI diaspora's Gulf employment network make coastal Karnataka a unique engineering employment market.

Career Scope
SDIT graduates access IT employment through VTU Dakshina Kannada zone placement drives alongside other Mangaluru cluster colleges. Civil and Mechanical graduates access the Gulf employment channel through coastal Karnataka's established NRI diaspora networks — a distinct career pathway that provides Middle East construction and industrial sector access unavailable to engineering graduates from most other Karnataka districts.
