Vijayapur — Bijapur Heritage and Border Location
Vijayapur (formerly Bijapur) is famous for the Gol Gumbaz — the world's second largest dome and the mausoleum of Mohammed Adil Shah, a UNESCO-considered heritage structure. The city has significant historical Islamic architectural heritage from the Adil Shahi sultanate period. Vijayapur is located on NH-50 close to the Maharashtra border (Solapur is 80 km), giving graduates access to Maharashtra's Solapur industrial area alongside Karnataka's employment market.
Vijayapur district's economy is agricultural (groundnut, sunflower, sugarcane) with growing industrial presence. The district's proximity to Hyderabad (300 km) provides CSE and ISE graduates a pathway to Telangana's IT employment alongside Karnataka's job market.
SECAB Trust — Minority Education Mission
SECAB has provided accessible quality education to Muslim students in North Karnataka for several decades. SECAB-IET's minority institution status plays an important role in increasing engineering education access for the Muslim community in Vijayapur district — one of Karnataka's districts with significant Muslim population. The institution maintains an inclusive admission policy welcoming students from all communities while fulfilling its core mission of minority education access.
