Approved by the Council of Architecture (COA) and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), RRSA offers the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) programme in Bangalore's competitive architecture education market. Being in Bangalore gives RRSA students direct access to India's second fastest-growing real estate and construction market for architecture internships, portfolio building and post-graduation employment.
Admission is through NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and JEE Paper 2. Architecture programmes do not participate in the standard KCET engineering admission process.

NATA Admission
NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is conducted by the Council of Architecture and is mandatory for all BArch admissions in India. It tests drawing ability, spatial reasoning and mathematical aptitude. Visit nata.in for registration and test dates. After qualifying NATA, applicants register for RRSA through Karnataka's architecture quota counselling process managed by KEA.
Bangalore Architecture Market
Bangalore's construction activity runs at the highest intensity of any Karnataka city, driven by IT park expansions, Metro rail extensions, residential high-rise development, commercial complexes and airport infrastructure. The city hosts over 500 registered architecture firms ranging from international practices to boutique local studios. RRSA students have internship access to this ecosystem throughout their 5-year BArch programme, building portfolios with live project exposure that architecture students in smaller cities cannot match.
Sustainable and green building design is increasingly central to Bangalore's commercial construction, with IGBC and GRIHA certification becoming standard requirements for large IT parks and commercial buildings. BArch graduates with green building specialisation find strong demand from Bangalore's technology-led construction clients.

Bangalore's architecture firms, real estate developers, BBMP, BMRCL and private construction companies are all active employers for fresh graduates. The city's scale of construction ensures consistent demand for architecture professionals across residential, commercial, hospitality and infrastructure project types.
